Located in the heart of Austin, Texas, the LINE has a front row seat to all the communities that make this city…this city. Live music. Creative cinema. Locally-grown produce. Lady Bird Lake. We are a hotel that reflects its community, which is why we’ve partnered with organizations that seek to further enhance the culture and well-being of the community itself.
Your stay has impact: Big Medium works to provide affordable studio space for artists, and partners with various organizations in Texas to help foster the arts and facilitate an inclusive cultural dialogue between artists and their communities.
We also collaborate with Big Medium on our LINE Austin Artist Residency, a six-week opportunity for local artists to experiment and create in a new environment. While in residence, the artists are encouraged to share their work and process, become involved with the hotel, its guests, and the local arts community. The LINE Hotel Austin’s partnership with Big Medium expands into a statewide search for artistic talent in 2022.
As the city of Austin continues to grow, so has the use of the shared resource that is Butler Trail. The LINE Austin is committed to supporting The Trail Foundation (TTF), an organization working to ensure everyone’s safety by widening the Trail to support the ever-growing number of pedestrians, runners, and bicyclists.
The SIMS Foundation provides Austin’s music community with a full array of mental health and substance abuse recovery services at little to no cost. The LINE Austin is proud to integrate their work into our LINE Studio Sessions, during which SIMS representatives discuss community resources and provide services to encourage improved self-care practices amongst the local artistic community.
With a mission to empower the community to make, watch, and fall in love with love film and creative media, Austin Film Society (AFS) has developed a number of innovative and meaningful programs throughout the city. As a proud supporter of AFS, the LINE Austin hosts the annual Texas Film Awards Press Brunch, and AFS x the LINE collaborate on the Summer Poolside Film Series.
Future Front Texas is a community that seeks to amplify the work of women and nonbinary creatives through markets, festivals, meet-ups, pop-ups, and more. They oversee a variety of exhibitions, including CraftHER Market, Babes Fest, State of the Uterus, and a number of other educational and networking events. To help provide a space where they can further be seen by the community, we proudly host CraftHER Markets throughout the year and continually showcase artists work through our summer Future Front Residency program.
The LINE Austin and Arlo Grey are proud to partner with Mark Ashby Design to support their Family Shelter renovation initiative with the SAFE Alliance. The Mark Ashby Design team assisted in creating the whimsical Yurt Village presented by American Express and Resy at Arlo Grey, and in turn Arlo Grey and the LINE are providing underwriting for one of the six Family Shelter clusters included in the Mark Ashby Design renovation project.
