COMMUNITY
The Adams Morgan Community Center at the LINE DC was built to support the nonprofits, artists and organizations that shape our neighborhood and city. That feeling of community, however, extends far beyond its walls – it’s part of your in-room stay, core to our cultural events, central to our art program, and one of our favorite things about Adams Morgan.
Your stay has impact: we’re proud to support the work of No Kid Hungry, a DC-based organization working with communities across the country to ensure that all kids have access to three healthy meals a day, including initiatives like school breakfast and summer meals.
The DC Public Library plays an important role across the city, and we are proud to be the library’s home in Adams Morgan.
The Adams Morgan Community Center is an official DCPL satellite location. The Library Takeout is an ever-growing collection of books – in English and Spanish – for children and young adults. Books may be checked out without a library card, and returned to the AMCC or to any branch of the DC Public Library.
DCPL Radio is the the official radio program of the DC Public Library, broadcasting weekly from Full Service Radio in the lobby of the LINE DC. Listen in for author talks, interviews, special presentations, information about about the goings-on in the library system, and much more.
A revolutionary voice in DC’s art world for 17 years strong, Transformer is more than a gallery. This non-profit is a champion of local and emerging visual artists, performance artists, and a resource for non-traditional art that has shaped the city’s art community.
From inter-tribal pow wow groups to Brazilian jazz guitarists to the US Air Force Band, we’ve played host to a wide array of free performances presented by Washington Performing Arts.
Washington Performing Arts and their Mars Arts DC initiative are anchored by residencies for emerging artists and groups, and enacted in curated performances across all eight wards. These are artistic happenings that reflect what it means to call DC home.
