Join us for a special screening of an episode of 5TH QUARTER, an archival-based mini-series by Russell Hamilton and Black Archives in collaboration with NTS Radio highlighting the best of southern marching band culture. Since childhood, southern marching bands have been a part of Russell Hamilton’s ethos. As an extension of his cultural research, 5th QUARTER is a highlight reel of archived marching band performances and interviews.
This activation is presented in conjunction with PASSPORT by Russell Hamilton, a portrait study highlighting the Caribbean island of Jamaica. The exhibition recounts diasporic travel & experimental still-life moments suspended in time. On view at the LINE LA from August 1st through October 31st.
